- Reverse Osmosis is considered to be the most effective treatment system. By this method, water under great pressure is forced through a semi-permeable membrane of pore size 0.0001 micron where ion exclusion occurs and impurities are flushed out to exclude most contaminants. With ion exclusion, water molecules form a barrier that allows other water molecules to pass through; and at the same time, excluding most contaminants. The unique feature of RO technology is that it can remove all TDS content besides bacteria & virus, resulting in quality drinking water at par with national & international standards. The RO technology is currently considered the best available technology for drinking water purification. This method removes all harmful contaminants without the use of any chemicals.
- RO plants are much easier to operate than other plants for the same application. also, these plants do not require daily regeneration with highly-corrosive chemicals like hydrochloric acid and caustic soda.
- RO plants also cope up with higher ionic loads (TDS) with no significant increase in operating costs. This is particularly important in case of raw water source like borewell, the water quality of which fluctuates +20% throughout the year.
