Water Softening Plant

  • Water Softener uses a chemical ion exchange process to remove positively charged minerals from water on a resin bed.
  • The idea behind a water softener is quite simple. Hardness in water is caused by positively charged minerals like Calcium and Magnesium. Since these minerals do not precipitate, cause flaking of the metallic containers or make soap react badly with water; they have to be eliminated. Cation exchange is used to flush out these minerals making the water soft in the process.
